Healing at Your Pace
I’m Eve Chalom, and I would like to welcome you to my website! I invite you to explore my services and read about the different ways I work with people.
I am a Dance Movement therapist and integrate my background as a professional ice skater and modern dancer into my work. I use a combination of talk therapy, dance therapy, movement therapy, psyscho-education, and mindfulness/meditation skills to work with people. I would be happy to help with whatever your current issues are, and if you’re not sure what they are, but know something isn’t right, I can help with that too.
How I Work with People
Whether we are talking or using movement, the overall goal is that we are both listening to where the energy needs to go, attending to comfort and safety, and working together in a non linear way to find keys for your health and wellness.
I believe that we function at our best when we are able to use our mind and body as one, and when emotions are unblocked and manageable, so a fair portion of the work has to do with building emotional intelligence and self-love. We can use movement to help you get in touch with your body, improve habits of how you use your body kinesthetically, or to connect to deeper emotions and feelings using your body as an expressive and symbolic vehicle. Sometimes, it can be easier to move about something than to talk about it, and you might find that you are able to find insights or understand ways to change that you can’t find through talking. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Sessions are in person on the ground or on ice, or telehealth, and the cost is out of pocket.
